Few footballers hold space in recent memory better than iconic Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
Though never quite much to look at from a physical perspective, the Flero-born creative genius held the world at his fingertips across an incredibly influential career that spanned over two decades.
From a full debut with provincial outfit Brescia to cutting out a legendary figure at the very top of the highest level with Inter, Milan, and Juventus before ending his career on Broadway with NYCFC in MLS, Pirlo became the very definition of grace in the center of the park.
His international career wasn't too bad, either. He remains one of the finest examples of the footballing equivalent of a modern Italian Renaissance.
