Chelsea target Morgan Rogers is open to leaving Villa Park this summer, but Aston Villa have set an asking price of £90m according to reports.

The Blues are once again set for a busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business.

Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to improve Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Aston Villa set £90m asking price for Rogers

Whilst a striker is the main priority the Blues are also in the market for a wide player with Maresca said to want five wingers in his squad next season.

The Blues have been linked with both Nico Williams and Alejandro Garnacho, whilst the strongest links have been with Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, with Chelsea said to be leading the race.

However, Chelsea also have an interest in Morgan Rogers, and TEAMtalk have reported the England international would be open to leaving Villa Park if the opportunity presented itself.

The report states Villa don’t want to lose Rogers and he’s happy at the club and not pushing for an exit from Unai Emery’s side.

TEAMtalk add Villa have set an asking price of £90m for the 22-year-old, with Chelsea amongst the clubs most interested along with Arsenal and Manchester City, whilst Maresca is said to be a fan having coached Rogers in the Manchester City academy.

Chelsea putting summer plans in place

With the Club World Cup taking place this summer, teams are looking to their business earlier than they normally would and Chelsea are no different.

The Blues wrapped up a double deal in March for Sporting Lisbon duo Dario Essugo and Geovany Quenda, although Quenda won’t join until 2026.

Chelsea are also said to want a striker in place for the Club World Cup and have been most strongly linked to Liam Delap, who’s available for £30m.

It’s vital the Blues make the right recruitment decisions this summer, because if they do then there’s a possibility of a title charge being mounted next season.
