Lucas Biglia and Gabriel Paletta, two compatriots who played at AC Milan together, have agreed to join the U17 side Aldini as their new coaches.
Biglai arrived at Milan from Lazio in the infamous summer of 2017, but his career with the Rossoneri never took off. Paletta, meanwhile, joined in 2015 for a nominal fee and has some good moments with the red and black shirt, including the famous 4-3 winner against Sassuolo.
According to a report from Sprint and Sport, the duo – who only spent about six months together at Milan – are now ready to take over the U17 side of Aldini. Biglia will take on the role of head coach, while the former defender will work as his collaborator.
Two high-profile signings for an academy team, it must be said, but it should be noted that it will be their debuts as coaches. The classic saying ‘you have to start somewhere’ fits well here, in other words, and it remains to be seen how they will get on.
A few years ago, Biglia admitted that his time at Milan was very tough and above all the departure, which brought him to tears. He never managed to replicate his form from the Lazio days after that.
