Yann Bisseck has been the latest Inter Milan star to sustain a physical problem amid a ruthless fixture schedule.
According to Calciomercato via FCInterNews, the 24-year-old returned from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a minor fitness issue.
Bisseck was on the field all 90 minutes as Inter surrendered their Supercoppa Italiana crown to AC Milan last night.
He was part of Simone Inzaghi’s porous backline, which capitulated three times in the second half.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri squandered a two-goal lead in a dramatic 3-2 defeat in the Middle East.
Bisseck’s erratic performance contributed to Inter’s first domestic loss since mid-September.
Despite not being 100% fit, Bisseck should be ready for Inter’s upcoming Serie A trip to Venezia.
However, Inzaghi may not be able to count on Stefan de Vrij.
The Dutch center-back had to leave the pitch in the 84th minute and will undergo further checks tomorrow.
But long-term absentees Benjamin Pavard and Francesco Acerbi could recover by Sunday.
Unfortunately, Hakan Calhanoglu has joined the ever-growing injury list.
Indeed, the Turkish playmaker required a first-half withdrawal, with Kristjan Asllani taking his place in the 35th minute.
Asllani would likely fill in for the 30-year-old at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo if he fails to regain full fitness.
