The new contract for Denzel Dumfries has signed with Inter Milan does NOT contain a minimum release fee clause.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, reveal the details of the Dutchman’s new deal until the end of June 2028.
The 28-year-old Dutch international wingback Dumfries has finally put pen to paper on a new contract with Inter.
The Nerazzurri have been in talks with the Dutchman’s representatives for the better part of a year.
Tying Dumfries down on a new deal was a priority. His previous contract was to to expire at the end of next June.
Therefore, Inter have avoided losing Dumfries on a free transfer next summer.
The Gazzetta confirm that Dumfries is now under contract with Inter until the end of June 2028.
The Dutchman will earn around €4 million net per season on his new deal. That is up from his previous wages worth €2.5 million net per season.
And despite some rumours, the Gazzetta reports, there is no release clause in the contract.
However, the newspaper reveal, there is an option for Inter to end the contract twelve months early.
