Referee Luca Pairetto will take charge of Wednesday’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Bologna.

The Lega Serie A have released a complete list of officials for this week’s matches, via FCInterNews. Francesco Meraviglia will be on VAR duty for the clash.

Inter take on Bologna in Serie A on Wednesday evening.

That match will essentially be a makeup for the fixture that the two teams missed while the Nerazzurri were in Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana earlier this month.

The last time that Inter and Bologna met in Serie A, the Nerazzurri won the match 3-0.

However, Inter certainly won’t be taking anything for granted either. Bologna have been something of a bogey team for them in recent years.

Last season, Bologna were the team to knock Inter out of the Coppa Italia.

And in Serie A, the Rossoblu have gotten a number of notable results against the Nerazzurri in recent seasons.

Most notably, Bologna beat Inter in April of 2022 in a match that was decisive for the Nerazzurri missing out on the Serie A title to AC Milan.

That match was also a “game in hand.” It had also been set to be played early in January, but was cancelled due to a surge COVID-19 cases.

Therefore, Inter will certainly know they can’t take three points for granted this time around.

Luca Pairetto To Referee Inter Vs Bologna Serie A Clash – Meraviglia On VAR

The referee for Wednesday’s match will be Luca Pairetto.

Assisting Pairetto in his duties will be Christian Rossi and Gamal Mokhtar.

The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Kevin Bonacina.

In the VAR booth, Francesco Meraviglia will oversee the match to ensure to correct any errors by the on-pitch officials.

Assisting Meraviglia in his duties will be Paolo Mazzoleni.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than refereeing controversy.
