Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into his plans for Robert Lewandowski in the club’s upcoming meeting with Inter Milan.

Barca, of course, are primed to return to action tomorrow evening, when they make the trip to San Siro for the 2nd leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.

The aforementioned Lewandowski for his part missed the tie’s opener, owing to a muscular injury.

After the Pole was spotted back in group training over the last couple of days, however, he was subsequently included in the Blaugrana’s travelling squad bound for Milan.

Question marks surrounding Lewandowski’s readiness to start, though, have remained…

Speaking to the media during his pre-match press conference this evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his top scorer’s status to face Inter was put to Hansi Flick.

And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to admit:

“I spoke to Lewandowski yesterday and he is making positive progress. He will be on the bench. He will play if we need him.”

Ferran Torres, as a result, is set to maintain his place as Barca’s attacking spearhead in Italy.
