Paulo Dybala is set to undergo surgery on a left semitendinosus tendon injury, Roma have confirmed, which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old was forced off just 11 minutes after coming off the bench in the second half of their 1-0 win over Cagliari on Sunday.
Roma shared in a statement on Thursday: "Paulo Dybala will undergo surgery in the coming days.
"The player and the club have mutually agreed that this is the best course of action for an optimal recovery."
Roma are currently seventh in the Serie A table and will face Lecce away after the international break.
