Reports in Italy claim that Roma have ‘concrete’ interest in signing Italy international Davide Frattesi from Inter and that the Giallorossi could use captain Lorenzo Pellegrini as a pawn to pull the deal off.
According to updates from Gianluca Di Marzio, Frattesi is Roma’s ideal option to strengthen the midfield options at the Stadio Olimpico. Inter, however, have little interest in allowing the 25-year-old leave.
Frattesi himself, meanwhile, is understood to be frustrated by his lack of consistent playing time as a starter in the Nerazzurri line-up under Simone Inzaghi.
Though a regular in the Italy starting XI under Luciano Spalletti, Frattesi has played for just 585 in Serie A this season. Divided across his 14 league appearances this term, Frattesi has featured for an average of just 41 minutes per game.

Signing the former Sassuolo midfielder from Inter, especially in January, is a difficult task for the Giallorossi recruitment team, but reports from Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that Roma could look to include captain Pellegrini in a form of player exchange deal.
