Roma ultras continued their protest against owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin by hanging two banners in the capital last night: ‘We no longer want stars and stripes, USA go home.’

Roma ultras are growing increasingly unhappy with club owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin, despite the team’s impressive results in the second part of the campaign under Claudio Ranieri.

ForzaRoma.info posted pictures of two banners hung by the die-hard Giallorossi supporters around the city last night.

“The season has proved it: Roma to Roma supporters, not market shareholders,” one of the two banners read, while the other message was: “We no longer want stars and stripes; USA go home.”

Roma have had a troubled season with two different coaches in the first three months. Ivan Juric replaced Daniele De Rossi in September, but the Croatian tactician lasted barely two months in the capital as Ranieri returned for a third stint in November.

Roma were just four points above the relegation zone when Ranieri was appointed, but they’ve climbed the table under the 73-year-old, and now they are just one point below a Champions League spot.

Their next home game is against Milan on Sunday.

It will be Ranieri’s final home game in charge of Roma. The coach is set to leave at the end of the season and remain at the club as an advisor.

The Friedkins acquired a majority stake in Everton in December 2024 and will be forced to operate under the financial restrictions UEFA imposed on Roma for the upcoming transfer windows.
