Premier League star Mohamed Salah is helping Italy international Federico Chiesa settle in in his new surroundings in Liverpool, as he was overheard offering to take the former Juventus forward out for dinner in a recent viral clip.

“Hey Fede, still want to go for dinner with me,” The ‘Egyptian King’ could be heard asking Chiesa in a recent clip posted to Liverpool’s social media accounts.

“Whenever you want, we’ll go for dinner. I’ll cook for you,” Salah continued, to which Chiesa replied, insistently: “No, I’ll cook for you.” The two then shared a quick joke about pasta.

Though Chiesa joined Liverpool in August, he is still getting acquainted with the first team group, as he has often been left to work individually after a series of minor injury and match fitness concerns over the last few months.

Reports on Thursday confirm that the 26-year-old was still not involved with Arne Slot’s ‘main’ first-team group as they prepare Fulham in the Premier League at the weekend. He was instead working alongside Diogo Jota to regain his fitness.

The EURO 2020 winner has still only played for 78 minutes (three appearances in three different competitions) since completing his €15m move to Anfield.
