Sale of glass drinks prohibited for Roma-Athletic | OneFootball

A new initiative has been introduced in order to limited the possible damages during the upcoming Europa League fixture at the Stadio Olimpico.

In view of the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 between Roma and Athletic Bilbao, scheduled for Thursday at 9:00 p.m. at the Olimpico, the Prefect has issued a new ordinance regarding the sale of glass drinks and food containers.

The following press release was published a few minutes ago:

“The next March 6, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the football match “A.S. Roma – Athletic Club Bilbao” valid for the UEFA Europa League will be held.”

“In this regard, in relation to the possible repercussions on order and safety due to the consumption of glass drinks and food by fans in the streets of the historic center, an ordinance has been issued prohibiting the sale for administration and takeaway, as well as the transport, of drinks and food in glass containers as per ordinance no. 89465 of February 28, 2025 which is published here.”
