James Justin has cost Leicester City a total of 18 points this season. His defensive mistakes have put the Foxes in an unnecessarily compromised position now.

Looking at Leicester City play week in, week out, it is not as difficult as it once was to pinpoint the reason why they are in the relegation zone. Despite having one of the best squads in the bottom half of the table, Ruud van Nistelrooy's side are at risk of facing the drop.

The reason why the Foxes are in such a position is because they don't help themselves defensively. They often present opportunities to the opposition which could have easily been avoided.

The main culprit of this unfortunate phenomenon is none other than, you guessed it, James Justin.

According to a shocking revelation from stats experts Opta, James Justin has cost Leicester City a total of 18 points this season. In other words, without James Justin acting like a headless chicken, Leicester could be 18 points better off in the table.

In this made-up world, Leicester would have 32 points, rather than where they currently sit, with 16 points. If the table panned out in this manner, Leicester would definitely be in the top-half of the table, potentially even competing for a spot in Europe.

For the last few months, Leicester fans have grown increasingly frustrated by James Justin. There is a collective sigh whenever he is included in the starting lineup and while trying their best to get behind him, it's never too long before he slips up and leaves fans thinking "well, here we go again."

The January transfer window is now open - Hurrah, right?

Wrong. Leicester, while they *should* strengthen, are never expected to carry out too much business in the January transfer window. If they were to do so, the full-back position certainly screams out louder than the rest, though.

The worst part is that James Justin won't lose his spot in the starting lineup anytime soon. He has started all but one league game this season, which shows how highly valued he is at Leicester.

Maybe the club and manager sees something that Leicester fans certainly do not. Maybe his form will turn around he will come good. Certainly wishful thinking, considering how poorly he has played consistently all season so far.
