AC Milan only have two first-team strikers currently and with Francesco Camarda still finding his feet, another addition to the front line could be on the cards.
The striker situation at Milan has been questionable for some time. In the summer, the Rossoneri initially wanted a younger striker to build around but ended the window with Alvaro Morata (32 years old) and Tammy Abraham (27 years old).
Whilst this was done with the idea of promoting Camarda – or assisting with this – many complained that it was a poor decision. With Morata struggling to hit the numbers that Olivier Giroud did, and Abraham struggling to do this as well, we find ourselves in a difficult situation.
As a result, the Diavolo could resort to making another addition in the January mercato, in an attempt to further reduce the pressure on the young striker, whilst also sharing the workload between Abraham and Morata – both of whom have had injury issues since joining.
This afternoon, Sky reported that Randal Kolo Muani could be an idea on the table, and apparently, Milan have already asked the French giants for a loan deal in January. Whilst the Parisien outfit are on board with this idea, they would not pay any of his salary for the rest of the season – €4 million – which could be offputting despite the previous interest.
Juventus and some Premier League clubs are also keeping an eye on the proceedings.
