Kristjan Asllani will start for Inter Milan in today’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen clash with Udinese.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that Hakan Calhanoglu will get a rest for the match.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to rotate his team significantly this evening.
The Nerazzurri take on Udinese in the Coppa Italia just a couple days after beating Lazio in Serie A.
Therefore, the rest time for the Inter squad has been minimal.
Naturally, Inzaghi is mindful of not burning key players out. Therefore he will make sweeping changes to the starting eleven that beat the Biancocelesti.
Among the changes Inzaghi will make are handing Josep Martinez his first ever appearance in goal, and starting Tajon Buchanan for the first time.
Meanwhile, in attack Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic are set to lead the line.
And in midfield, Inzaghi will start Piotr Zielinski and Davide Frattesi.
However, the Inter coach had been planning to keep one player in the midfield.
Sky report that Inzaghi has been planning to start Hakan Calhanoglu to keep some continuity on the pitch.
However, the broadcaster anticipate, the Inter coach has changed his mind.
Inzaghi now intends to give former Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani a chance to start, reports Sky.
