Interesting to hear Teddy Sheringham talk about Alexander Isak and the chances of him signing for Manchester United.
The former Man U striker had this to say a few weeks ago…
Teddy Sheringham talking about the possibility of his old club Manchester United signing Alexander Isak – 20 January 2025:
“Manchester United is still a massive draw for any player and playing for the club is still a highlight of anyone’s career.
“Would Alexander Isak consider joining Manchester United if a bid came in?
“Without a doubt.”
They say that a week is a long time in politics.
Well, three weeks is clearly a long time in football, at least when it comes to Teddy Sheringham and Alexander Isak joining Man U…
Teddy Sheringham talking to Finaria about the possibility of his old club Manchester United signing Alexander Isak – 13 February 2025:
“Is Harry Kane the right man now [for Man U]? Probably not. I know he’s still scoring goals for Bayern Munich, but I don’t know if it would have the same impression on everybody if they were to get him now.
“[Man] United need to start going for younger guns, but I mean, who’s out there?
“Would Alexander Isak come away from Newcastle to go to Man United at the moment?
“You’d like to think he would, being a Man United fan, but I’m not so sure he would, so the further they fall down the pecking order, the less chance they’ve got of signing top players.”
Talk about a reality check! Teddy Sheringham finally waking up and smelling the coffee.
The days are long gone, of the best players in world football queuing up to join Manchester United.
