Liverpool appear to be on the verge of securing Bournemouth’s promising left-back, Milos Kerkez, as their first major signing of the summer transfer window.
Renowned pundit Ian Wright has suggested that the deal is “probably done,” indicating that the Hungarian international could soon join the Premier League champions.
The Reds are looking to be active in the summer transfer window by making new signings in several positions.
While there are some players who are heading out of the club, including right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, some promising signings will be arriving to make the squad stronger for next season.
After delivering success in his first season, Arne Slot has the confidence of the club hierarchy who are ready to back him heavily this summer.
The left-back position has been a huge cause of concern for Slot this season and he is ready to address that issue by bringing in a new player in that position to compete with Andy Robertson.
Speaking on Premier League Productions (via Liverpool Echo), Wright sounded confident about Liverpool signing Kerkez from Bournemouth.
The football pundit said:
“I think Kerkez [to Liverpool], that’s probably done, for me. The amount of talk we’ve been doing for so long, that’s probably done, which is a shame [for Bournemouth]. He’s a fantastic player.”

The Merseyside club have plans to be ambitious in the transfer market this summer and at least four new signings are expected.
RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons is another player on the radar of the Premier League giants.
Work has already started behind the scenes to replace Alexander-Arnold and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is the club’s top priority in that position.
