Tottenham are sweating over the fitness of James Maddison, with the midfielder set to undergo a scan on an injury picked up against Bodo/Glimt.

Maddison scored during Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg as Spurs took a big step towards reaching their first European final in six years with a 3-1 win.

But Maddison, and Dominic Solanke, were both forced off during the second half.

Solanke appears to have avoided serious injury, but Ange Postecoglou confirmed there are concerns over Maddison’s fitness.

The Spurs manager said on Friday: “Dom is not too bad. He is still a bit sore from last night, but we don’t think it’s anything serious. Obviously a doubt for the weekend.

“Madders, we’re a bit more concerned about. He was heading for a scan [today]. We’re just waiting to hear that outcome.”

Postecoglou will make changes for the weekend trip to West Ham, with one eye on the trip to Norway next week as they look to finish the job against Bodo/Glimt.

He continued: “It's important for us. We'll make changes to make sure we put in a strong performance but also get some players a rest and some players up to speed."
