Another update has arrived regarding the investigation into the ultras groups connected to AC Milan and Inter, with the managements about to be involved.

It was announced on the morning of Monday 30 September that the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office had arrested a number of key figures from Inter’s Curva Nord and Milan’s Curva Sud on charges of criminal association.

We did a deep-dive into all of the background relating to the story and the charges they face (some of which stretches back decades) in an article on our Substack, which is what you should check out if you want to get fully up to speed.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress) talks about how the investigation will now ‘change radically’ because the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission has accepted the request of the prosecutor Walter Verini to set up a special Doppia Curva Committee to tackle the cases.

The Committee, the newspaper states, will proceed to question the heads of Inter and Milan in person and via telematics. The first two to be spoken to will be Paulo Scaroni and Beppe Marotta, the presidents of Milan and Inter respectively.

That is not official just yet but should be confirmed soon, while it is still being defined whether the two CEOs Giorgio Furlani and Alessandro Antonello will face questioning.
