UEFA Youth League Round of 16 draw: Everything you need to know

All the key information you need to know ahead of the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 draw.

WHEN IS THE DRAW?

The draw, which will cover the Round of 16 all the way through to the final of the prestigious competition, will take place at 11:00 (UK) on Friday 14 February in Nyon, Switzerland.

Updates on who City will play in the Round of 16, and our potential opponents en route to the final, will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App shortly after the draw has concluded.

DRAW FORMAT

There are a few things to be aware of ahead of Friday’s draw.

In principle, clubs from the same association cannot be drawn against each other for the Round of 16 and clubs drawn first in each tie will be the home side for the single-leg match.

For the quarter-finals, matches one to eight will be represented in a second phase of the draw and, again, the first ball drawn from the bowl will be home team.

The process will be repeated for the semi-finals with the four quarter-finals represented in four balls that will be drawn from a bowl. The nominal home team will be the first ball pulled from the pot.

For the final, two balls will be drawn from a bowl to confirm which semi-final will be designated as the nominal home team for the final in Switzerland.
