Italy will host France in front of a sell-out crowd in San Siro on Sunday evening, as Luciano Spalletti’s side look to finish the Nations League group stage at the top of the standings in a group that also contains Belgium and Israel.

The unbeaten Azzurri sit at the top of their group heading into the sixth fixture of the 2024-25 Nations League campaign with a total of 13 points from four wins and one draw. France are three points behind in second and will need to overturn a goal difference of -3 on the night.

Both Italy and France are already qualified for the Nations League quarter-finals.

Italy-France will kick-off at 19.45 GMT for those in the UK.

Tonight’s game will not be shown live on the television in the UK, but it is available to watch for free on the ViaPlay international YouTube channel. Supporters in the USA will be able to tune in via Fubo, Tubi and ViX. Those in Italy will be able to watch the game live on TV on Rai, or online through RaiPlay.

Italy vs France: Probable line-ups

Spalletti looks set to make a handful of rotations to his line-up following the 1-0 victory away against Belgium on Thursday night, as Monza’s Daniel Maldini, Juventus’s Manuel Locatelli and Moise Kean of Fiorentina look set to line up as starters.

Reports suggest that Nicolo Barella will revert back to a more traditional midfield role, which could mean Davide Frattesi and Nicolo Rovella dropping out of the XI.

There will be plenty of familiar faces in the France line-up, as Milan’s Mike Maignan looks set to start in goal at his club’s home stadium, as does Inter’s Marcus Thuram. Theo Hernandez is expected to miss out with an unspecified knee issue after missing training on Saturday.
