Van Nistelrooy finally throws in the towel at Leicester

Following defeat to a rejuvenated but fairly steady Manchester City at a typically muted Etihad Stadium, Leicester City boss Ruud van Nistelrooy seemed to give up on the Foxes' season. It appears that the ex-Manchester United man and rival of the Citizens feels the gap to survival is too much for LCFC to conquer. And he's probably right there, to be fair.
But, with eight Premier League matches to go, is it appropriate for RvN to finally throw in the towel at Leicester? And just what exactly did the Dutchman say after losing sheepishly whilst showing a lot of respect to Pep Guardiola's Man City? I think many Foxes fans will agree with van Nistelrooy's sentiments but not his outlook as a manager.
A goal from the shell of a player that is Jack Grealish got Man City underway against Leicester. Greenish was once one of the most exciting players in the EPL - before overthinker extraordinary Guardiola got hold of him. Albeit successfully at first.
The east Midlands outfit just allowed Man United's pitiful Rasmus Hojlund to revitalise his career at King Power Stadium through bad defending. An uncompetitive Wilfred Ndidi, a struggling Luke Thomas and a loafing Boubakary Soumare offered the former Aston Villa star the same opportunity.
Mads Hermansen's atrocious mishap completed the physical metaphor for LCFC's campaign. I actually felt slightly sorry for van Nistelrooy on the sideline. He's not got everything right at all. Yet this squad has not given him, or the Blue Army, anything whatsoever. The Leicester side should hold their heads in collective shame!
