It was a convincing win for the Magpies, after an early Jacob Murphy double put Newcastle United two-nil up with just over ten minutes played.

Tino Livramento provided the assist for Murphy's first, while Harvey Barnes netted against his former club to register his sixth goal of the season and put Newcastle three-nil up ten minutes before half-time.

At the back, Fabian Schär was faultless once again as Newcastle kept their second clean sheet in three Premier League matches, but it was his audacious effort from over 50 yards out that gets special mention here, as it crashed into the bar before falling at the feet of Murphy who was the only player alert to the rebound.
