City captain Kyle Walker was a special guest at The Salvation Army's annual football tournament for people who are homeless on Thursday.

Walker joined Celtic legend John Hartson at the thirteenth Partnership Trophy - created to raise awareness of homelessness and improve positive wellbeing - played at GOALS on the outskirts of the city.

The Partnership Trophy is run by The Salvation Army and its subsidiary, Salvation Army Homes, bringing together football teams from Lifehouses (hostels), supported housing, outreach programmes and drop-in services from around the UK.

It has also been supported over the last five years by the Guardiola Sala Foundation, a charity set up by Pep Guardiola and his family.

Speaking about the event, Pep said: “It’s so encouraging to witness how football can bring people together and help them overcome really tough personal challenges. The Guardiola Sala Foundation is delighted to be a part of this event.”

After a long day's play in the warm late summer sunshine, the tournament was eventually won by The Orchard from Bradford - with Hartson presenting the victorious side with their trophy.
