With Manchester City onlooking, Omar Marmoush scored his 14th Bundesliga goal of the season to secure an important 1-0 win for Eintracht Frankfurt at St. Pauli.
The Premier League side are hoping to secure the signing of Marmoush before the transfer deadline at the end of the month. With negotiations ongoing, don’t expect Eintracht Frankfurt to accept any less than their €80m valuation of the 25-year-old.
Marmoush’s goal against St. Pauli is his 14th Bundesliga goal of the season, a new record for an Eintracht player after 16 games. Against the Hamburg side, the former player shone in stages, proving a nuisance for the opposing defence. With an 8.0 rating on FotMob, Marmoush registered 41 touches, was accurate in front of goal (71% shot accuracy – five on target) and imposed himself on the game, as we often expect now from the Egyptian.
Eintracht’s 1-0 win against St. Pauli puts the club up into third, ahead of Mainz, and nine points behind leaders Bayern Munich following their 1-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
