The Blues dropped points for just the second time this season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon. They now face a Leicester City side that have also frustrated them earlier this term.
When speaking to the media before the latest meeting with The Foxes, Chelsea boss Bompastor said that while the game provides another tough assignment, she expects a response from her side.
“That’s always the best when you’re able to play so quickly after frustrating results,” Bompastor said. “I think we’ll be different playing at home and as Chelsea. I think when you drop two points like this, the game after, you have the right mindset and you need the spirit to get the good results.
“We’ll be ready for the game on Wednesday.”
Going on to discuss Leicester City, Bompastor explained how The Foxes boss Amandine Miquel has the ability to surprise opponents.
She said “She [Amandine Miquel] will try to put us in trouble, but I think we have all of the quality to win the game. I think it’s always finding the right balance between focusing on the other team, but also focusing on yourself and what you need to achieve to make sure you get the good results.”
Chelsea’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Leicester City kicks-off at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
