An explanation for the message received by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick during his latest press conference on Saturday has been forthcoming online.
For those who may have missed it, developments during Flick’s latest media appearance sparked widespread chatter across the Spanish media earlier today.
This came after Marca revealed that Barcelona’s headmaster had received a text message from assistant Arnau Blanco, which read:
“Mister, Araújo and Raphinha want to talk to you.”
Amid ongoing speculation surrounding the futures of both players, in particular defender Araújo, rumours surrounding their respective futures therefore quickly began to fly.
As alluded to above, though, the situation has since been clarified.
And those of a Barcelona persuasion, it has been assured, need not fret.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘As sources in the dressing room explained to this newspaper, the reason was simply that Araújo and Raphinha, second and fourth captains of the squad, wanted to speak as spokespersons for their teammates about an internal organisational issue with the coach.’
This of course comes ahead of a crunch showdown for the Blaugrana with arch rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night.
