Wolves identify Lens’ Kevin Danso as priority target | OneFootball

RC Lens’ defenders are in demand this January. Abdukodir Khusanov is attracting interest from 15 clubs, as per Foot Mercato, with the likes of Manchester City and Newcastle United registering a strong interest in the Uzbekistan international.

Having fallen somewhat out of favour, Jonathan Gradit is being linked with a move away amid interest from Stade Rennais. Kevin Danso (26), who almost joined AS Roma in the summer before failing a medical, is also garnering interest on the market. As per L’Équipe, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the Austria international.

Sky Sports have now provided further details regarding Wolvs’ interest. As they look to avoid relegation to the Championship, they are looking to potentially sign two new centre-backs in January. They understand that Danso, a mainstay in Lens’ back-line, has been identified as the priority target with the Premier League side set to back new manager Vítor Pereira during the upcoming transfer window.
