Dino Toppmöller, Hugo Larsson and Rasmus Kristensen with the reaction to the 1-1 draw at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “We knew we were coming up against a strong team and that Gladbach are always dangerous in transition. From the equaliser onwards, we were more in the game. Especially in the second half, it felt like we had the game in our grasp – we were comfortably ahead in every statistic. In the end it was only a point because we weren’t quite clinical enough in attack and, particularly in the closing stages, didn’t spot team-mates. We’ll take the point, even though we would’ve liked to win.”

Hugo Larsson: “Gladbach were very good in the first 30 minutes, they had control over the game. Then it’s our strength that we came back, gained control ourselves and should’ve scored more goals. There were one or two situations in the second half where we needed to link up better to score.”

Rasmus Kristensen: “After the switches – from 5-3-2 to 4-4-2 pressing – we had the advantage. In my opinion, we play directly too often. I think we do really well in build-up play, but with more patience we could bring about more right decisions and stretch the opponents more. We could also cross more. That’s where we need to adapt as a team. Michy Batshuayi is a different type of player. For the equaliser you saw that: it was a bad cross from me but when you have so many bodies in the box, things can always happen. Overall a point is actually good – we could’ve won against Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim. Away to Gladbach, which is really tough, a point is actually a great result.”
