According to a report from L’Équipe, Al-Shabab have reached an agreement in principle with Stade Rennais for Glen Kamara (29). The Finnish international is set to join on loan but the Saudi Arabian side have the option to make the deal permanent.
The French outlet writes that there are still some details to iron out between Rennes and Al-Shabab, in particular concerning the purchase option. However, they believe the deal is close and at the latest, he should be able to travel this weekend to the Gulf State.
Kamara only arrived in Rennes over the summer from Championship side Leeds United. The midfielder was part of a recruitment drive that has seen a significant chunk of the arrivals leave only six months after they made the move.
This season has been disastrous for the northern club. Rennes are close to losing their second manager with the team sat in the relegation playoff spot.
