To coincide with World Autism Awareness Day, the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund invited a hundred autistic and neurotypical children to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday as part of its emblematic One Team programme.
This initiative, supported by PSG for Communities via the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund, brought together young people from the One Team programmes in Clamart, Ivry, Lille, Paris-Aubervilliers and Poissy.
The children took part in a series of enjoyable and fun events, combining entertaining workshops, group training sessions, a behind-the-scenes look at the Parc des Princes, a picnic, the presentation of jerseys and a memorable meeting with Paris Saint-Germain judoka and Olympic champion Luka Mkheidze.
Also in attendance was Juliette Méadel, Minister for the City and Minister Delegate to the Minister for Town and Country Planning and Decentralization, who came to support the Club's commitment to social and territorial inclusion.
The event, which championed sharing, inclusivity and conviviality, also featured many guests and partners.
Launched in 2021, One Team is an inclusive educational programme that uses football as a vehicle for socialization and personal development for children with ASD (autism spectrum disorders).
“Today’s event at the Parc des Princes fully embodies the spirit of the One Team programme: football that is accessible to all, in the service of inclusion and coexistence. Seeing children from different backgrounds share the same passion while playing football together is the ultimate reward for our team. This motivates us to do even more to make sport a vehicle for social cohesion wherever we operate.”Fabien Allègre, Vice-President of the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund
Paris Saint-Germain would like to express its sincere gratitude to its partners Generation Amazing Foundation and Naked Heart France, whose commitment to the Club has helped enhance the impact of the One Team programme. Thanks to their support and expertise, concrete actions favouring the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorders are taking shape in France and internationally.
In January this year, the Paris Saint-Germain Endowment Fund announced the international launch of its One Team flagship programme in Doha, Qatar, in partnership with Qatar Foundation (through its Ability Friendly Programme) and Generation Amazing Foundation. This is a further step towards the internationalisation of the inclusive methodology developed by Paris Saint-Germain.
