Real Madrid are preparing to throw a grand farewell to manager Carlo Ancelotti who is set to depart the club in ten days.

The Italian tactician has already been announced as the new manager of the Brazil national team and will be taking over the reins once the current La Liga campaign ends on May 25.

It will mark the end of Ancelotti’s second tenure at Real Madrid which lasted four years after he returned to the club in 2021, having previously managed at the Bernabeu between 2013 and 2015.

Now, according to MARCA, Ancelotti and Real Madrid have not closed the door on a potential reunion in the near future.

Indeed, there is a shared intention for the legendary tactician to return to the club after his commitment with Brazil ends, albeit in a different role.

During discussions between Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, CEO Jose Angel Sanchez and Ancelotti, there has been a clear acknowledgment of the need for change at the moment. However, the door remains open for them to reunite again.

The 25 May event will be a tribute and a “see you later,” not a final farewell for Ancelotti. It has been discussed that once the Brazilian chapter concludes, he could return to the club in a role to be determined.

For now, Ancelotti will hope to end his current chapter with Real Madrid on a strong note by leading them to victories in the final two league matches against Sevilla and Real Sociedad before bidding goodbye.
