Tottenham Hotspur showed good signs against Brentford as they beat them 2-0 in their Premier League. They will now shift their focus towards their next fixture, which is against Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg.
Spurs have a 1-0 lead from the first leg and will enjoy an advantage. However, the gap is too thin to build upon and hence, they need to put on their everything if they wish to advance into the finale of the competition.
Defence
Antonin Kinsky was calm and composed on his previous outing and will be operating between the sticks. Pedro Porro remains a pivotal figure in the lineup at the right-back position.
While Archie Gray continues at the heart of the defence, Ben Davies is likely to may way for Micky van de Ven. Djed Spence was also impressive against Brentford and he should retain his left-back duties.

Midfield
Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are expected to be deployed in the middle of the park yet again. However, to accompany them in the midfield trio, Pape Matar Sarr is the front runner.
Dejan Kulusevski, who was used in the midfield, should return to his right-flank role while Heung-min Son’s position on the left side of the pitch is under no threat.
Richarlison is operating as the number nine in the lineup, which means Mikey Moore will have to warm the bench.
The injury list includes uglielmo Vicario, Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin, Cristian Romero, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke.
