Inter Milan defender Tomas Palacios has pulled out of the squad for tomorrow’s match against Lecce amid transfer links to Monza.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Argentine left the Nerazzurri training centre early today.
Over the last few days, Inter defender Tomas Palacios has been linked with Monza.
The Argentine only just joined Inter last summer. However, he has barely featured for the Nerazzurri, with just a handful of substitute appearances.
Therefore, it is not necessarily a great surprise that Inter could consider loaning Palacios out.
So far this season, the 22-year-old has trained with his Nerazzurri teammates.
However, there is little question that Palacios could potentially get more playing time out on loan.
Monza have reportedly been pushing to sign Palacios this month.
The Brianzoli are aiming to reinforce their squad during the January transfer window. They are set for a tough relegation scrap over the rest of the campaign.
There is little doubt that Palacios would get significantly more opportunities to play at Monza than at Inter.
But at the same time, the Argentine would still be at a team in Serie A.
And in the meantime, Sky report, Palacios has pulled out of Inter’s squad for tomorrow’s match against Lecce.
The reason for this does not appear to be an injury.
Therefore, it could be that Palacios is on his way to join Monza on loan.
