Paris Saint-Germain will face Premier League leaders Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. PSG advanced past Stade Brestois 10-0 on aggregate in the knockout play-off round and now face a huge challenge.
After the second-leg win, manager Luis Enrique spoke with the media and gave a funny response when asked which matchup he preferred: Barcelona or Liverpool.
Now that he knows that they’ll be facing Liverpool over two legs, the Spanish manager will need to devise a plan for his young team to shock the Reds and advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.
After the draw was made official on Friday, Marquinhos, who was part of the PSG squad that faced Liverpool in the 2018 group stage, shared his thoughts on drawing the English club during an interview with PSG TV.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot also spoke to the club’s official website and noted that he’s looking forward to the challenge of facing the Ligue 1 side.
“At this stage of the competition, the quality of opponent is only going to be of a very high standard and in PSG we have drawn a team and a club with real European pedigree,” Slot said.
“They qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League in style earlier this week with a big win against Brest and they had some really good results in the league phase, defeating Stuttgart, Manchester City, Girona and Salzburg.
“As is the case with ourselves, PSG are top of their domestic league and are enjoying a long unbeaten run. This tells us all that we need to know about the challenge that we will face but it is also a challenge that we will look forward to, knowing that we also fully deserve to be in the last 16.”
