With the January transfer window approaching, Barcelona are open to considering offers for Ferran Torres, reports SPORT.

As one of the Barça players attracting the most interest, Torres has emerged as a target for both Aston Villa and Arsenal, who are keen to boost their squads mid-season.

However, the forward himself remains committed to proving his worth at Barcelona, aiming for more playing time as the season progresses.

Torres wants to stay

So far this season, Torres has made five starts but gradually finds himself more involved in the rotation than in the starting lineup.

The primary attack trio for Barça now consists of Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha, each delivering impressive performances.

Despite this tough competition, Torres made it clear during the summer that he has no intention of leaving the club, viewing Barcelona as his primary focus for the future.

Meanwhile, both Aston Villa and Arsenal are well acquainted with Torres’ style and capabilities, given his previous experience in the Premier League.

Arteta and Emery are fans

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Aston Villa manager Unai Emery understand his potential value, and either club may be willing to offer a fair price for him.

Torres, under contract with Barça until 2027, previously turned down Aston Villa’s interest, signalling his commitment to staying in Barcelona over a move.

Barcelona, on their end, may face limited activity in the January window due to the strict salary cap rules.

Even if they were open to departures, the club would still need to navigate La Liga’s 1-: financial rule, which requires clubs to balance player exits with incoming signings to maintain budget compliance.

With this in mind, any move for Torres would likely need to make sense financially for Barcelona, ensuring they comply with salary restrictions while making space for potential reinforcements.
