Arsenal are set to be without the services of Gabriel Jesus for a lengthy spell due to a suspected ACL injury.

The news was all but clarified by Mikel Arteta on Tuesday, with the Brazilian set to undergo further tests on a knee injury later today.

Addressing the issue, the Gunners boss would not give absolute confirmation to the ACL speculation but did admit that final checks are likely to back up those fears.

"We know more now and he's not looking good at all. I don't want to confirm anything until we have the final report this afternoon," Arteta told reporters on Tuesday morning ahead of their clash with Tottenham.

"That is the job of the doctor but we were very worried straight away after the game and we're very worried today. Is it season-ending? Let's see this afternoon."

Asked if it would force them into a January signing in the final third, Arteta also confirmed that the club are 'actively looking' at options.

However, there was more positive news prior to the derby in relation to Arsenal's Italian duo, with Riccardo Calafiori's injury 'not being anything too much' and Jorginho's exit against Manchester United being cramp related.
