The winter transfer window has now closed, and Alexander Isak will remain at Newcastle United. Although there wasn’t much talk of a move this winter, it’s clear that several clubs will be eyeing him in the summer.

Recently, RMC Sport’s Daniel Riolo stated that PSG should go all in on pursuing Isak to bolster their attack even further under manager Luis Enrique.

“Wouldn’t you go all-in on Alexander Isak if you were PSG?” Riolo said. “PSG could very well go all-in. Can we swap Ramos and Kolo Muani for Isak? Can we make a package like that? You also add Asensio to the package. And come on, I’ll throw in Kang-In Lee too.”

Meanwhile, while Arsenal have shown interest, FootballTransfers reported that Liverpool are currently the most determined suitor and leads the race for his signature.

Football Insider reported on Friday, citing sources, that Newcastle United are in a strong position to offer Alexander Isak a new contract this summer.

The Magpies are reportedly planning to “try and persuade” the Sweden international to extend his stay at St James’ Park after this season, with the move seen as a “brilliant” piece of business.

Although Isak’s current contract runs until 2028, the club aims to secure him on a fresh deal, especially with several top Premier League clubs keeping an eye on him.

Newcastle’s decision to offload several players in January has strengthened their finances, putting them in a better position to retain Isak.

Alan Shearer, the former Newcastle star, believes Isak’s value could top £150 million due to his impressive form. He also suggests Chelsea might have the upper hand over Arsenal in the race to sign him but advises the Blues to be cautious, as his price could keep rising.
