Marquinhos’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain, with L’Équipe reporting growing concern within the club that he could leave despite being under contract through June 2028.

The Brazilian defender has shown interest in a potential move to Saudi Arabia, where a lucrative offer awaits. Given PSG’s shift toward a younger backline, a departure wouldn’t be a shock.

In recent windows, the club has brought in Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho. If Marquinhos does move on, PSG will likely be in the market for another center-back this summer—if they aren’t already.

PSG might look to a familiar name in French football as a possible replacement for Marquinhos. According to a recent report from Il Corriere dello Sport, the club have a strong interest in Evan Ndicka, the former AJ Auxerre standout now playing for AS Roma.

The challenge? Ndicka is under contract with Roma until 2028, meaning PSG would need to negotiate a deal to convince the Serie A side to sell. They’re also not alone in the race—the Daily Mirror reported an update from Il Corriere dello Sport that Arsenal and Newcastle United are eyeing the 24-year-old center-back for a summer move and could land him between £25 million and £34 million.

With Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez working their way back from injury, it remains to be seen whether PSG will rely on them next season. If either departs or setbacks arise, the reigning Ligue 1 champions might need to bring in not just one but two defenders.
