Arsenal cruised into the quarter-finals of the Champions League by knocking out PSV Eindhoven.

The Gunners were already in control of the last-16 tie after winning the first leg in Eindhoven last week 7-1.

Goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko and Declan Rice ensured they drew the second leg 2-2, with Ivan Perisic and Couhaib Driouech on the scoresheet for PSV.

Arsenal are now into the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the second season running and will face either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid in the next round.

Simon Collings was at Emirates Stadium to see Arsenal in action...

David Raya 6

Produced a good save early in the second half to keep out Isaac Babadi. Beaten by two brilliant finishes from Driouech and Perisic.

Ben White 6

Understandably looked a little rusty as he made his first start since November after undergoing knee surgery. Got better as the game went on.

Jakub Kiwior 6

Harshly booked in the first half. Pulled out of position at times, but largely solid and filled in fine for the night.

Gabriel 7

Kept his place in the team with William Saliba given a rest. Made a great tackle to deny Driouech when he was racing through.

Myles Lewis-Skelly 8

Went close to scoring in the first-half, but his shot was tipped onto the post. Finished the game in midfield and created a good chance for Calafiori.

Oleksandr Zinchenko 8 | Star player

Handed his first start for Arsenal in midfield and opened the scoring within the opening six minutes. Could be an option for Arsenal there until the end of the season.

Jorginho 6

Captain for the night in the absence of Martin Odegaard. Caught in possession for PSV’s second goal and Arsenal were punished.

Declan Rice 8

Scored Arsenal’s second goal by powering home a header from Sterling’s cross. Frustratingly picked up a booking just before coming off.

Raheem Sterling 8

His best performance in an Arsenal shirt. Setup both of the Gunners’ goals and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself. An encouraging display.

Mikel Merino 6

Continued his experiment as Arsenal’s No9. Linked the play fairly well, but wasted a decent headed chance from a corner.

Kieran Tierney 6

A surprise starter on the left wing as Mikel Arteta seized the chance to rest players. The odd dart forward and dangerous cross into the box.

Substitutions

Riccardo Calafiori (Rice 64’) 6

Almost scored with minutes of coming on, but was denied by a good save.

Leandro Trossard (Merino 64’) 5

On for a stint upfront as a false nine. A quiet cameo.

Jurrien Timber (White 79’) N/A

Martin Odegaard (Zinchenko 79’) N/A

Gabriel Martinelli (Tierney 79’) N/A

Subs not used: Neto, Setford, Saliba, Partey, Nwaneri, Kabia, Butler-Oyedeji
