Inter Milan are keeping tabs on AS Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, as they consider swooping for the midfielder should he be made available this summer.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Roman midfielder is falling out of favour at the Stadio Olimpico and faces an uncertain future at the club.
With Paulo Dybala ruled out for the remainder of the season, the creative responsibility is expected to fall on Pellegrini’s shoulders and the Italian international has the nine remaining Serie A matches to prove himself to Roma.
Pellegrini only has one year remaining on his contract and so if a renewal is not forthcoming, Roma will look to cash in.
Inter would be keen to land the 28-year-old but are expected to face competition from Napoli, particularly after Antonio Conte’s side were linked with him in January.
The midfielder would prefer to remain with his boyhood club though, and is determined to win back the Roma fans after a breakdown in the relationship with them.
