It would appear that injuries have decided to strike FC Barcelona all at once. While the Catalan giants have enjoyed an extraordinary run of fixtures in October, they have now suffered a defeat in November to Real Sociedad. Unfortunately, the defeat is not the only bad news that Barcelona will have to live with.

Previously, it was revealed that Lamine Yamal had an injury which led to him missing the game against La Real and he will now also likely miss some other games as well. However, he is not the only Barcelona forward who will have to work on recovering from an injury now.

Barcelona ace Robert Lewandowski has now also been confirmed to have an injury associated with his back, and as Mundo Deportivo has highlighted, the club has revealed that he has a lumbar injury, and he is now expected to need around ten days of recovery time before he can return to action.

This news comes as a double blow for both the club and the player as the game against Real Sociedad also saw the Polish ace have a legitimate goal disallowed for an offside call that was incorrect and a complete fault of the personnel using the VAR system.

Consequently, the 36-year-old Polish ace will also have to miss out this international break with his National team, and he will be missing two UEFA Nations League fixtures against both Portugal and Scotland. Interestingly, this is the first time that Lewandowski has had to miss games for his country since joining Barcelona from Bayern Munich.

Following the game against Real Sociedad, the player was seen visibly limping after the full-time whistle. It looked likely that he had picked up a blow, and tests have already confirmed that to have been the case. Fortunately for Barcelona, however, he looks set to return right after the international break.

With Celta Vigo set to be the first game back for Barça once the players on international duty return, the Polish ace will try his best to be available for Hansi Flick in that encounter. Until then, the primary focus will have to remain on him gradually returning to action.
