Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal on Saturday paid tribute to club icon Lionel Messi.

As much came by way of the winger’s choice of footwear.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, eyeing a first win in three in La Liga in a meeting with Las Palmas in Catalunya’s capital.

The aforementioned Lamine was for his part forced to make do with a spot on the bench in the clash, fresh off his return from a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

And it was during his time in the Montjuïc dugout this afternoon that the 17-year-old went on to pique widespread attentions.

After kicking his feet up on the seat in front of him, it became evident that Lamine’s boots for the clash featured the name of none other than Barcelona’s greatest-ever player – Lionel Messi.
