After Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal were ruled out with injuries, leading to them being withdrawn from national team duties with Poland and Spain, respectively, youngster Hector Fort has also been dealt the same hand.
Indeed, as confirmed by SPORT, the Barcelona right-back has been released from the Spain Under-19 national team squad due to back discomfort.
Fort, 18, missed Barcelona’s La Liga encounter against Real Sociedad this past Sunday due to the same problem.
And, having assessed the situation, Spain U-19 coach Paco Gallardo has opted to release the young right-back, who did not travel to Madrid with his teammates Pau Prim, Andres Cuenca, and Guille Fernandez to join the national team camp.

The 18-year-old was part of the Spanish U-19 squad that is set to participate in themini-tournament which serves as the qualification round for the U-19 European Championship, which will be held from 13 to 19 November in the Kosovar capital, Pristina.
However, the teenage defender will no longer participate in the mini-tournament with a replacement also called up for him in the form of Buba Sangaré of AS Roma.
Fort has not seen a lot of minutes under Hansi Flick this season at Barcelona but did impress in his last appearance when he started at right-back in place of Jules Kounde in the Catalan derby against RCD Espanyol.
The La Masia graduate has played 288 minutes of football across eight games in all competitions this season. He will hope to make use of the international break to fully recover from the back issue bothering him.
