Tottenham signed Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich in the winter transfer window and they had a permanent buy clause of £45 million in the loan deal. Tel has impressed the management of Spurs with his performances and they are hopeful of signing him permanently at the end of the season. However, Give Me Sport has reported that Bayern Munich are even ready to sell Kingsley Coman to Spurs for a price of £30 million.
The Frenchman has fallen out of favour in Munich and is not getting regular game time at the club. So, he definitely wants to move to a place where he will get consistent playing time at this stage of his career. Bayern are also happy to sell him given that he is not in the plans of Vincent Kompany.
Kingsley Coman has scored four goals in 22 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes are 0.35. Moreover, Coman’s total G/A (goals + assists) is eight for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.69 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.42.
Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Coman passes the ball roughly 48.12 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 89.75%. He also plays 2.60 key passes each game. Overall, Coman’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.40 per 90 minutes. Coman has played 1040 minutes in the Bundesliga so far this season.

Talking about his qualities, Coman has shown his skills as a winger with blistering pace and technical mastery. He accelerates past defenders effortlessly, exploiting wide spaces with explosive runs. Additionally, his dribbling is a standout point, combining quick footwork with unpredictable feints to dismantle backlines.
Coman delivers pinpoint crosses, feeding strikers with precision, while his sharp cuts inside often end with curling shots on goal. Though not a prolific scorer, he capitalizes on chances with clinical composure. Defensively, he tracks back diligently, blending flair with discipline. For Bayern Munich and France, his versatility, speed, and flair consistently tilt matches. This has made him a sensational contributor down the wing.
Coman currently receives £275,000 per week in wages at Bayern and this might turn out to be a problem for Tottenham. Spurs would want it to be reduced and Coman would also like to take a pay cut given that he might be looking to get regular game time. He knows that he would not get the same at Bayern.
Moreover, Tottenham not playing in the UEFA Champions League might also make Coman think about his move. He might be looking for clubs who are part of Europe’s most elite competition and unless Spurs win the UEFA Europa League, Coman might not be looking to make the move.
