Nestory Irankunda is yet to make his first competitive appearance for Bayern Munich following his €3 million move from Adelaide United last summer.

In an interview with Network 10 in his native Australia, the 18-year-old winger revealed that he'd like to go out on loan to get more game time.

“Of course I’ve spoken to them. Obviously you want to be playing, you want to be playing at a top level, first league, first division and at a good club also," Irankunda said, adding:

“I’ve been in talks with the club and also the coaches about going on loan, because I feel like it will be better for me. I have to be playing, I can’t keep playing under-23’s every week. So I’m in talks with them, and hopefully I get a club soon."

In the interview, Irankunda also opened up about his experience of making the big step from the Australian A-League to a German top-flight club.

“It’s been unreal, it’s a good challenge. It’s a lot different to the A-League… their technique is unreal. But my language, speaking it is horrible. I can only speak English," he said.

“My first session, I couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t really seeing Harry Kane, it was mostly seeing Vincent Kompany, the coach. He’s a legend and he’s been in the game for quite a while, so seeing him was unreal.

“And then obviously when you see Harry Kane, Leroy Sane and all these players, it’s even better because they’re such high-profile players and they’re very good. It’s always a dream to see players like this."
