Real Madrid faced off against Barcelona at the Estadio de La Cartuja earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win in the Copa del Rey final. Los Blancos struggled to give a good account of themselves in the first half and conceded the opening goal in the 28th minute when Pedri found the back of the net. Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Kylian Mbappe scored the all-important equaliser for Real Madrid in the 70th minute. Aurelian Tchouameni completed the turnaround just seven minutes later but Ferran Torres cancelled it out with a late goal. The match ended 2-2 after normal time.

Jules Kounde scored in the 116th minute before Antonio Rudiger was sent off by the referee in injury time. The contest ended with Real Madrid suffering a tough 3-2 loss after extra-time in the Copa del Rey final.

He picked up an injury and had to be replaced in the 11th minute.

CM: Federico Valverde – 6/10

Valverde put in a hard-working display at the centre of the park but it was not enough tonight.

He gave his team the lead with a good header in the 77th minute and managed to make some important interceptions as well.

Rodrygo struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and was substituted at half-time.
