Key clashes take place at both ends of the Premier League table on Saturday with six matches taking place in total. Below you can find today’s football tips for Saturday, 2nd February 2025.
It may seem an obvious selection, but I’m backing Alexander Isak to get on the scoresheet for my main play of the afternoon. Paddy Power go 10/11 that the Swedish international finds the net, with other firms such as William Hill taking a much more conservative approach at 8/13.
Since the start of December, Newcastle striker Isak has scored more Premier League goals than any other player (13), also outscoring six different teams in that time. Isak is now second in Newcastle’s leading Premier League scorers (48 goals), behind Alan Shearer on 148, while he needs one goal to become the leading Swedish scorer; he is level with Freddie Ljungberg currently.
Justin Kluivert has been having an excellent season on the south coast and has 12 Premier League goals to his name since the start of the campaign, which includes two hat-tricks for the Cherries. When it comes to shots on target, he has done so in 14 of his last 15 appearances for the club and even with Liverpool the opponents on Saturday, 5/6 looks like a massive price.
Only Wolves’ João Gomes (51) has conceded more fouls in the Premier League this season than Ipswich’s Liam Delap (48). His average of 2.6 fouls per 90 minutes is the most by a striker in one campaign since Ashley Barnes in 2020-21 (3.1).
Delap has been shown eight yellow cards in the Premier League this season, with only Sasa Lukic and Flynn Downes have collecting more over the course of the campaign. Five of his yellow cards have arrived in his last eight games and he makes appeal here in a must-win game for Ipswich.
To round off our football betting tips I’m dipping my toe in the player fouls market and I’ve sided with Morgan Rogers to give away two or more in the match. Rogers bagged a hat-trick in the Champions League on Wednesday, but in the Premier League, he is on a streak of five consecutive matches in which he has cleared the 2+ fouls committed line.
Rogers’ foul totals in that sample read 2,3,2,5,3. All other bookmakers have him priced at odds-on to make it six in a row on Saturday, so take the 11/10 offering with Sky Bet.
