One pretty big Chelsea player is now reportedly considering his future at the club, and Manchester United have made an enquiry to sign him.

This is a story that has been expected for the last few weeks to be honest and I am pretty sure we are going to be seeing many more of these over the coming weeks and months too.

Chelsea have a large squad and are able to field two completely different starting lineups for league matches and cup matches. There is a lot of quality and a lot of competition for places.

This has been great for injuries, with Chelsea managing to completely get on top of those this season. It’s been great to also keep on top of fatigue. But the one issue it is always going to bring is that it will see some players become unhappy with their roles in the team and wanting to be starting much more than just cup games.

There is a few players in this bracket right now, but you know that two of them will be Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku. Both players will feel that they are good enough to be starting league games, for sure.

L’Equipe reported last night just after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, that Manchester United have enquired about Nkunku, who is considering his future at Chelsea. He has no intention of playing second fiddle in the Premier League, per the report.

I saw this one coming. Nkunku is not a young player anymore, he obviously is not going to be content just sitting on the bench in all league games, he is going to want to be starting them more often than not, and I completely get that too.

I think he might go in the summer.
