Mike Tullberg’s final match in charge will be one to remember, as he delivered Borussia Dortmund their first league win of the season. His passion was on full display as he ran to the traveling fans following the final whistle.

FC Heidenheim displayed a compact defense, which prevented much of the open play in which BVB’s attacking players thrived. However, Serhou Guirassy still managed to find the net through a cheeky play involving Waldemar Anton. Dortmund were able to hold their lead through halftime.

The second half saw some minor tactical changes, but Heidenhim started on the front foot, putting much more pressure on the Black and Yellows. Despite this, Dortmund’s creativity allowed moments of brilliance, such as the team goal involving Sabitzer, Gittens, Bensebaini, and finally, Beier. The lead was halved moments later, but Dortmund was mature and defended well following the concession.
